I've been documenting stories for over 7 years My camera has brought me more joy than I can even begin to tell you. Seeing through a lens is my favorite way to experience the world & I just love the places an image can transport you. The ability it has to make you feel something new, or give you a feeling of deja vu.
film. digital. camera phone. whatever is available is a gift. I will forever be grateful for the opportunity I have to create and help people remember.
I've been documenting stories for over 7 years & it's truly one of the greatest privileges of my life. Being a part of people's most sacred moments feels like a dream come true.
Caela is the sweetest most warm and kind person you will ever meet. She makes genuine connections with everyone. She is so patient & she works well in any situation. She can make you feel calm and catches the most beautiful candid shots. She will create and catch shots that I miss from my perspective. She gets details.
I lost my mom at 15.
I didn't get to take pictures with her at my high school graduation, at my wedding, or holding my first baby.It was out of the blue and one of my greatest hurts to date.
Because of this, I am quintessentially aware of how important my role is.
As a photographer I've been able to be a part of people's greatest joys and deepest sorrows. Losing someone that important has taught me so much about what it means to love and be loved. It has taught me the value of a present moment & how much more valuable it can be when it's shared. Because of this loss I have felt emotions so much deeper and wider than I ever thought possible.
And while I wouldn't wish losing someone that important on my greatest enemy, it's because of my own sorrow that I am capable of doing my job the way I do.
So when I tell you how much of a privilege it is to be a part of you story, you need to know how deeply I mean that.
Life is short and being able to remember is an irreplaceable gift that I am honored to be able to give.

my photos are the ones who want to remember every emotion. my hope is to make you feel something with every image. to give you a piece of all the emotion, whether that is the most abundant joy, or even the deepest grief. I want your photos to emulate all of it.
I can't even tell you how much I would love to be your new third wheel. You'll probably catch me doing the splits to get the best angle, cracking way too many dumb jokes & most likely making you whisper your favorite cereals in your sweeties ear.
