The way I document love is all centered around connection. It might look a little different than other photographers you have seen. Either way, I want to be as transparent as possible about the kind of photographer I am so you can make sure we are the right fit! Whether that choice is me, or someone else, is beside the point. This day will be all about you, and finding the right photographer is a huge piece of honoring that. I hope you find someone you love, someone you get a long with and whose art you resonate with.
I just want you to know that I am here to help with whatever you need. I've been a part of so many elopements and ceremonies, I could probably be a wedding planner at this point lol but really. I want this day to feel like magic to you, and whatever I can do to ease the stress I will!
Moments not poses. Emotive and unplanned. Art + a story. Candid and complex and movement and feeling. It's important to me that your photos tell a story. I want them to evoke an emotion, and remind you of a specific time in your life. To do that, I will be focusing more on being a fly on the wall, putting movements into the photos instead of stiff poses, and helping you guys bring out your relationship. The best advice I can give for a session is to focus on the one you love and leave the rest to me. Trust that I'll tell you when something needs to be adjusted & just spend time together.
I am not worried about taking "x" amount of photos, during "x" amount of time. I want each gallery to speak to each person I deliver it to. That's why no session ever goes the same. I have worked really hard to create experiences and photos for my clients that are tailored to you and only you. At the end of the day, these memories need to last and hopefully be something you can love for a very long time
retouching is not something I do. Let me explain, if you have a zit the day of, sure. But any aspect of your traits that make you YOU, I will not edit. This includes things like weight, height, birth marks, etc. I truly want to document all of it, I want my photos to encapsulate. I hope that is something you can get behind. If not, we may not be the best fit & that is totally okay.
this includes the relationship that you and I have. My goal every single session is to leave with a new friend. I want to know you. I'm not here to spend 60 mins with you, talk about the weather, take some pretty pictures, send some photos, & never talk to you again. While I could do that, I don't because I believe I would be doing you a disservice. My j0b is to document a story and your relationships, which takes knowing who you are. That requires me to make art WITH you, not for you. We can go get a treat together before our session together, FaceTime, talk on the phone. I just genuinely want to know you & I hope that you will let me.
I have structured my prices & business in such a way that I am able to take on less clients. This has allowed me able to dedicate more time to each person I meet, my education as a photographer, and editing. I put so much time and effort into every image so I can make sure you & I love what you receive from me.
